Bjoern Komander is an Affiliate of the ARC Centre of Excellence for Automated Decision-Making and Society from RMIT and the Institute for Artificial Intelligence Research (IIIA-CSIC) in Barcelona, Spain.
Bjoern is a dual PhD student at the RMIT School of Computing Technologies and the Institute for Artificial Intelligence Research (IIIA-CSIC) in Barcelona, Spain. His research centres around using computational tools such as Machine Learning for the monitoring of online communities. Specifically, he is interested in quality dimensions of online information ecosystems, asking what should be measured for assessing the health and quality of online communities. Moroever, Bjoern’s interested in developing computational tools beyond the classical input-output frame and applying a socio-technical perspective on his research.
Bjoern has a background in Philosophy and Economics, and holds a Masters Degree in Data Science for Decision Making from the Barcelona School of Economics.
