JING QIAN

Jing Qian is an Affiliate of the ARC Centre of Excellence for Automated Decision-Making & Society (ADM+S) from the University of Melbourne.

Jing is a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Melbourne. Her research sets out to explore the question of what combination of regulatory and governance techniques might be adopted to strike a balance between data processing in the public interest and safeguarding citizens’ privacy in the era of algorithmic decision-making. During her Master of Laws studies, Jing conducted research on two major topics: legal issues relating to AI systems and data protection.

Jing has been assisting with multiple ADM+S projects, in which she examined the regulatory development of relevant projects across different jurisdictions. Jing is also an AIPM-accredited CPPE with extensive experience in project portfolio management.
