LIDA GHAHREMANLOU
Dr Lida Ghahremanlou is an Affiliate of the ARC Centre of Excellence for Automated Decision-Making & Society (ADM+S) from Microsoft.
With over 10 years of experience in academia and industry, Lida is an AI Researcher and Data Scientist Lead at Microsoft, where she utilises LLMs for data analytics of employee experience surveys. She has a PhD in Computer Science from RMIT University, and is a member of the RMIT Industry Advisory Board for the Center for Industrial AI Research and Innovation. Lida also collaborates with Western Sydney University as a Research Partner Investigator.
As a data scientist, Lida has worked closely with customers and partners to provide AI and Machine Learning solutions, and supported research institutes, NGOs and charities to empower AI for Accessibility and Responsible AI missions. She is passionate about solving real-world problems faced by people with disability and from non-English backgrounds through thoughtful design, implementation and evaluation of AI technologies.
As a short fiction author and translator in English and Farsi, Lida is committed to finding novel ways to connect cultures and experiences. Her aspiration is to combine creative arts and storytelling with AI to create compelling and positive experiences for diverse audiences and users.
