NICK WALSH
Nick Walsh is Chief Operating Officer of the ARC Centre of Excellence for Automated Decision-Making and Society (ADM+S), based at RMIT University. He leads the Centre’s operations, strategic planning, business development and organisational strategy.
Nick has extensive experience in research management, strategic planning, organisational development and public policy. Prior to joining ADM+S, he was School Manager of the Crawford School of Public Policy at the Australian National University.
Throughout his career, Nick has worked across the higher education, government and cultural sectors, including roles with the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet, the Office for the Arts, Canberra Theatre Centre, and the Office of the Minister for the Environment, Water, Heritage and the Arts.
He has a particular interest in supporting research that contributes to effective public policy, informed public debate and positive societal impact.
Nick holds qualifications in tertiary education management, media and communications, policy studies, and contracting and procurement.
