SALLY STOREY

Sally Storey is the Manager of Research Training and Development at the RMIT University node of the ARC Centre of Excellence for Automated Decision-Making & Society (ADM+S).

Sally has eleven years of production experience working across documentary film and television in the capacity of Production Manager, Coordinator, and Research. In 2015/2016, she co-produced independent feature film ‘That’s Not Me’ (Palace Cinemas national release) and short film ‘A Terrible Beauty’, both screening at prestigious national and international film festivals.

As a Producer, Sally has been awarded funding through Screen Australia and Film Victoria for film development and production, marketing support, business growth, and leadership development.

Having completed a minor research thesis on women’s perceived challenges to success in the Australian film and television industries, Sally has freelanced as a research assistant in higher education with a focus on women’s participation in global creative industries.

She also has six years experience in grant-making through roles at RMIT (Research Administration, School Research Committee) and Gandel Philanthropy (Grants and Communications Officer, Community grants).
