YASMIN TAMBIAH

Dr Yasmin Tambiah is the node administrator at the University of Sydney node of the ARC Centre of Excellence for Automated Decision-Making & Society (ADM+S)

She has a PhD in Medieval Studies from Yale University. Her subsequent research focused on gender, sexuality and law in postcolonial states, and on women and militarization. Yasmin has worked as a researcher and project manager in the USA, Sri Lanka and India, including leading a five-country research initiative on women and governance in South Asia.

In Australia, she has held roles in research development, project management and research support at the University of Sydney, University of Technology Sydney, and Western Sydney University, as well as managed projects for the ‘Securing Australia’s Future’ program of the Australian Council of Learned Academies (ACOLA).
