DR FUTOON ABUSHAQRA

Dr Futoon Abushaqra is a Research Assistant at the University of Sydney node of the ARC Centre of Excellence for Automated Decision-Making & Society (ADM+S).

Futoon is a dedicated researcher and educator specializing in AI, machine learning, and data science. She holds a PhD in Computer Science from RMIT University, Australia, where she developed cutting-edge deep learning methodologies to enhance sequence data modeling. Her research experience spans diverse domains, including temporal data analytics, emotion recognition, audio analysis, and natural language processing.

With a strong academic foundation, Futoon earned her Master of Science in Computer Science and Bachelor of Science with Honours in Computer Information Systems from JUST University, Jordan.

Her work has been recognized through prestigious fellowships, including the DAAD AInet Fellowship for AI in Cyber-Physical Systems, and numerous awards for academic excellence and research impact.

Beyond her research, Futoon has extensive experience in teaching and mentoring at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, designing curricula, guiding student projects, and leading interdisciplinary collaborations.
