Call for researchers: New ADM+S Podcast series on AI, ethics and society

Author ADM+S Centre
Date 19 September 2025

We’re looking for researchers, thought leaders, and experts to join a new 5-episode series to be featured on the ADM+S Podcast. The series on AI, Ethics and Society, will be hosted by Rayane El Masri, an ADM+S PhD student and recipient of the 2025 Marc Sanders Foundation Philosophy in Media podcasting fellowship.

This is an excellent opportunity to share your insights with a wide audience and contribute to important conversations shaping the future of technology.

Rayane’s research delves into how care (using Joan Tronto’s political Care Theory) can help address the value alignment problem in generative AI, a key issue in the development of AI technologies today. Drawing on her recent intensive training in podcasting from renowned media figures such as Robert Krulwich, Mia Lobel, and Barry Lam, Rayane is bringing a fresh perspective to critical discussions on AI, ethics, and society.

The podcast will focus on a variety of important and timely topics, including:

  • AI, Care, and Mental Health
  • The Politics of AI Harm: Accountability, Responsibility, and Remedies
  • AI and Authorship
  • Decolonising AI Knowledge: Beyond Western-Centric Frameworks
  • Feminist Infrastructures: Rethinking AI Design
  • AI in the Global South: Opportunities, Challenges, and Alternatives
