CASE STUDY

Advertising for Unhealthy Foods
This research strand addresses concerns that unhealthy food is being over promoted through highly persuasive means such as ‘meal deals,’ overly large portions, targeting to vulnerable people and targeting at particular times of day.
ADM+S researchers Nic Carah and Christine Parker will be working with VicHealth and other collaborators to investigate how users see sequences or gambling, alcohol and unhealthy food as variable packages of advertising by ‘harmful industries’.
