Documentary filmmaking with mobile and AI tools workshop

Filmmaking workshop

We invite all ADM+S members to a hands-on workshop where you'll learn how to create impactful videos for your research using just your smartphone. In addition, we'll explore how AI tools can enhance your content by generating audio and video elements to augment your videos.

Please note that Stephen prefers iOS, but the principles will apply to both iOS and Android devices.

What to Bring:

  • Your smartphone
  • An eagerness to learn and experiment!

Who Should Attend:

  • Anyone interested in improving their research (or research translation) through video
  • No prior filmmaking or AI tool experience necessary—just bring yourself!

Stephen Quinn

Stephen Quinn is a writer and filmmaker with a parallel career as a university academic who has lived in nine countries. He makes films and teaches people how to make movies and documentaries with a smartphone and a range of artificial intelligence tools.

Since late 2023 he has run face-to-face workshops about AI tools for filmmaking in England, the UAE and Australia, and via Zoom in England, India and Africa. You can read about his approach to making films with AI tools here.
