‘Have we reached tipping point?’: Evaluating official responses to misinformation and disinformation
Nadia is a PhD researcher within the Digital Media Research Centre’s Australian Research Council Discovery project, ‘Evaluating the Challenge of Fake News and Other Mal-information.’ Her research investigates the social and cultural dynamics of misinformation and disinformation dissemination and amplification pattern, alongside factors determining official responses to the phenomenon.
Concurrently, Nadia works part-time as a Product Owner within Digital Victoria, a newly established agency tasked to lead and deliver Victoria’s digital transformation strategy.
Ultimately, Nadia’s research works towards a more precise and contextual set of approaches for assessing the risk and mitigating harms associated with the spread of misinformation and disinformation online.
