Researchers from the Australian Ad Observatory at the ARC Centre of Excellence for Automated Decision-Making and Society are inviting young Australians aged 16 to 24 to take part in a national study examining digital advertising on popular social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
The study aims to better understand the types and patterns of ads Australians are exposed to online, contributing to research on how digital advertising shapes user experiences, preferences and consumption.
Participants who use an Android phone and spend more than an hour a day on social media are eligible to take part. Participants who complete a 10-day ad collection period will receive an honorarium to recognise their voluntary contribution of time and knowledge.
