Tanja Dreher is an Affiliate of the the ARC Centre of Excellence for Automated Decision-Making & Society (ADM+S) from UNSW.
Tanja Dreher is a co-director of the Media Futures Hub and Associate Professor in Media at the University of New South Wales. As co-convenor of the Data Justice stream of the Media Futures Hub, Tanja leads emerging research on ‘What Data Can’t Hear’, focusing on the implications of data-driven systems for agentic voice and political listening in university and social service settings.
Tanja has ongoing research interests in the complexities and contradictions as public institutions including public service broadcasting, community broadcasting and public universities are increasingly enmeshed with corporate commercial platforms.
