Join us for a conversation with Mona Sloane on how AI Is restructuring social life.

Mona Sloane is Assistant Professor of Data Science and Media Studies at the University of Virginia. Her latest book, Predicted: How AI Is Restructuring Social Life (University of California Press, 2026) is a pragmatic approach to the predictive logic of AI, which is analyzed as a social arrangement. Mona is Faculty Co-Lead of the Digital Technology and Democracy Lab at the Karsh Institute of Democracy. She also runs Sloane Lab at UVA, which conducts empirical research on the implications of technology for the organization of social life.
