Nick Walsh received this award in recognition of his pioneering role as the first Chief Operating Officer of RMIT’s inaugural ARC Centre of Excellence, where he has successfully navigated complex systems and coordinated a remarkable mid-term report with global partners.
Professor Calum Drummond, RMIT’S Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Research & Innovation and Vice-President, said ‘Nick’s dedication to meeting the centre’s needs and resolving challenges within RMIT’s enterprise systems demonstrates his outstanding service and leadership. It is the contribution of staff members such as Nick that helps make RMIT a world leader in research excellence.’

Natalie Campbell and Leah Hawkins received this award for using their technical expertise, initiative and creativity in a practice of research translation to promote awareness of the excellent work being done by our academics at ADM+S.
As the Research Communications Officers for the ADM+S Centre, Natalie and Leah demonstrated outstanding innovation and leadership via their development and production of an impressive suite of high-quality interviews, short films, and podcasts to promote the research of ADM+S academics and our industry partners, which were recognised and praised by the ARC in the ADM+S Centre’s highly successful Mid Term Review.
2024 Service Excellence Award, Queensland University of Technology
